Teens Club Culture ‘takes off’ with Chipmunk

The launch of Virgin Radio’s Teens Club Culture on Friday 23rd September rocked Aquaventure Beach, Atlantis the Palm, with over a thousand of UAE teenagers enjoying the party.

The afternoon kicked off with beach football, tennis, surfing and volleyball. After sunset, local rock-band Juliana Down got everyone in the mood, and were joined on stage for an acoustic set by local teenage sensation Brendan, who at 13 years old, is a star in the making. Host Kris Fade then took to the stage to introduce the A-List artist Mann who got the crowd ‘buzzin’ with an very energetic performance.

Kris Fade kept the energy levels high in between sets with incredible teen talent competitions, supported by Virgin Radios’ Rossi and Ali Mak on the DJ decks. As a grand finale to the launch event, the crowd went wild when headline act Chipmunk arrived and rocked the audience with an fantastic performance, his first in Dubai.

The launch of Teens Club Culture heralds a new era for teenage events in the UAE, with great gigs like this just for teens. The next TCC event is confirmed as Aquaventure Extreme on Friday 7 October at 7pm until 10.30pm – when Torrent Beach will be open just for teens!

To attend, teens 13-17 years just need to register for a membership on the Teens Club Culture website or at any Virgin Megastore in the UAE. Entry to future events is AED100 for members and AED150 for non-members between the age 13 – 17 year olds only.
