At Atlantis, The Palm we are overjoyed to be coming up on one of the most special times of the year: the holy month of Ramadan.

As a bit of background, Ramadan is a special occasion of togetherness for families and loved ones. It is a time when the whole community comes together to support and encourage one another during a period of reflection – everyone is invited to experience the blessed tradition. Those who are fasting unite to celebrate the breaking of the fast at sun down referred to as Iftar. As the light begins to fade, a vibrant evening with delicious food begins. The second meal of the night is Suhour which is eaten before a day of fasting begins.

Atlantis, The Palm honours the traditions of the region by hosting charming Iftar and Suhour experiences.  With food as a focal point during the evening, it is a great opportunity for both fasting and non-fasting guests to indulge in the true taste of Arabia.  A variety of the most tasty Arabian dishes, sweetest treats and thirst quenching juices will be available in stunning displays during Iftar and Suhour at three iconic spots in Atlantis, The Palm; Asateer, Kaleidoscope and Levantine. Each of the venues offers a mesmerising and memorable vision into a long time, holy tradition. For guests who wish to experience our beachfront tent, Asateer, an extravagant Iftar buffet will be available priced at AED 185, and a decadent a la carte menu will be offered during Suhour starting at AED 120.

Simply put, Asateer during Ramadan is simply stunning. Overlooking the Arabian Gulf and The Palm, Asateer has an enviable location with breath taking views capturing the true view and feel of Arabia.  Iftars and Suhours are as much about socialising as they are eating, and Asateer is the perfect place to enjoy evenings with friends and family this Ramadan. Inside, Asateer will offer traditional activities, including card games, chess and backgammon, taking guests on a legendary trip to old Arabia. The atmosphere and décor will be a stunning mixture of heritage and luxury, and the live entertainment element with the favourite Arabic oud players who play timeless classics, in addition to an Arabic monochord artist, will bring to life the ancient traditions taking place.
