Diwali celebrations in Kaleidoscope at Atlantis

17 October, 2011 By admin

Join Atlantis to celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights in Kaleidoscope on 26-28 October from 6pm.

The five day festival is traditionally celebrated among Hindus and involves the lighting of small clay lamps filled with oil to signify the triumph of good over evil and to celebrate the coming of the New Year.  Guests can indulge in a variety of events and excite their taste buds with delicious specialties during the festival.

Kaleidoscope will be transformed and decorated with Rangoli, Diyas and Indian artefacts. A Maharaja at the entrance will welcome guests of all ages and waiters wearing traditional attire, including Saree, GagraCholee, Kurtha and Turban, will serve throughout the evening.

To start, diners will be offered Rooafza, a light rose flavoured drink or Thandaei, refreshing almond milk flavoured with cardamom.  Mouthwatering Indian food can be sampled by all diners, including traditional Biryani and freshly made Rumali roti. Interactive live stations serving South Indian foods such as Dosa and Idli will give guests the chance to view the preparation of these specialties; while, the live Chaat Station will serve Pani Puri, Sev Puri, Papdi Chaat and Bhel Puri.

Freshly prepared Jalebi and Malpuasand can be savoured by those with a sweet tooth.

Authentic Indian music will play in the background to complement the festive ambience.  Traditional Rajasthani Dancers adorned in colourful costumes will be performing at Poseidon’s Court.

Diners have the option of dining indoors or on the covered outdoor terrace with stunning views of the Royal Pool and The Palm. Meanwhile, the little ones can enjoy Henna

AED 190 per person, inclusive of food and soft drinks, while children between the ages 3 – 12 dine at a 50% discount. For reservations, please call +971 4 426 2626 or visit the Atlantis The Palm website
