As the holiday season is slowly inching closer and 2016 is in sight, most of us might be scratching our heads for ideas on how to keep the kids happy and occupied. At Atlantis, the Palm, we have an array of indoor and outdoor activities throughout the festive season that will appeal to our younger socialites, from Christmas Cheer happenings , over the top New Year’s Eve parties and fun-in-the-sun activities, your kids and teenagers are sure to be entertained for hours!

The magic begins with the transformed Poseidon Court area into a Winter Wonderland from the 1st of December to the 7th of January so that you and the family can discover a little piece of the North Pole in Dubai! So even though the weather is warm outside, you can get yourself into the festive cheer with all things snowy and delightful!

Come and indulge in delicious sweet treats, themed gift hampers and even a real gingerbread house that will get your mouth watering! Other activities include adding your holiday wish to our tree of wishes, face painting, arts and crafts, letter writing, scavenger hunts and more! This year, you will have the opportunity to give your little one a special treat by requesting an elf to come and read them a bed time story and tuck them in, all in the spirit of the holidays!

If your children would like to see Santa, he will be flying in on his sleigh with his friendly reindeers and his group of helpful elves for a special appearance from the 13th to the 25th of December as well as the 1st of January. Join us and say hello to the big, jolly man and have a photograph taken with him – a festive memory to keep forever. Ho! Ho! Ho!

More entertainment for the little ones comes in the form of Jingle Bell Rock – a Christmas party for those aged 3 -11. Hosted on the 23rd of December, this event will be jam packed with fun, from a North Pole craft area to Mrs Claus’ yummy treats, to various games and even a super fun dance-off thrown in! Tickets are AED 250 for hotel guests and AED275 for those not currently staying at the hotel.

We have not forgotten the teenagers though, and our resident Club Rush will also be joining in on the festive fun! We’re hosting a special New Year’s Eve party just for them – a Masquerade Night Out filled with cool music, colourful mocktails and the opportunity to see the famous fireworks from Atlantis Beach! This party will cost AED50 for guests and EAD100 for visitors.

In addition to the Christmas and New Year’s Eve events geared towards our younger fans, our outdoor areas will be hosting an array of games and activities that the entire family can get involved in! Think pool Tug-o-War, Dodgeball, Water Basketball and Giant Chess to name a few. There is no doubt that young and old will be getting involved in more fun than ever this festive season!
