April Chocolate Week in Atlantis

April Chocolate Week in Atlantis

15 April, 2017 By Atlantis Blog

Chocolate lovers are in for a treat at Atlantis, The Palm this month. Dubai’s first official Chocolate Week runs from 17 – 24 April, and Atlantis is celebrating in style. The whole resort will turn into a chocolate paradise, with delicious chocolate-inspired set menus featured at nine of our eateries. But the main attraction is the launch of our World Record attempt. Will we manage to create the largest chocolate sculpture in the world?

A sweet challenge

Visit the Atlantis chocolate sculptors at the Poseidon Court in front of The Ambassador Lagoon and watch as the first huge blocks of Patchi chocolate are carved in preparation for the enormous sculpture. The intricate sculpture will be a replica of The Royal Atlantis, the newest Kerzner property set to open on The Palm in 2019. In the meantime, you will be able to view a miniature chocolate replica of The Royal Atlantis, and see a Willy Wonka-style chocolate river.

A feast of chocolate

If, in your view, sampling chocolate is more important than viewing it, you will love that there is a chocolate feast within walking distance throughout the resort. Our restaurants have created innovative menus which include exotic dishes like Dark Choco Dim Sum at YUAN and Chocolate Freak Shake at Seafire Steakhouse.

Anyone who loves chocolate will tell you that its deliciousness should never be reserved for dessert alone. If you are one of these chocolate aficionados, you will love your dining experience at Saffron, where you will find chocolate-themed appetizers and main courses too. A visit to Saffron’s is always a delight, because it offers a theatrical dining experience where you can watch talented chefs in action across more than 20 live cooking stations, right from your front-row seats.

The celebration of chocolate stretches the whole week, so you will also get a chance to dine at Ronda Locatelli where you can sample a Chocolate Pizza Risotto with Duck Ragout and Chocolate shavings, or Baby Spinach, Smoked Ricotta Cheese, Hazelnut and Chocolate shavings, or even Braised Beef Cheek with Chocolate and Sour Vegetables.

Step into Ossiano to delight in Easter pastries and savoury treats from the British Isles, accompanied by a fabulous selection of teas with all Chocolate “Classic French” on the 22nd of April.

Exclusively for Chocolate Week, Gordon Ramsey’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar has a surprise in store with a special Chocolaten Eton mess. There is so much to explore at Atlantis, The Palm, and this includes bold new tastes.
